AND OFF I GO TO ANOTHER EXHIBITION IN LILLE
A couple of years ago when we had come for "Lille 3000", I seem to remember that the decorations in the main street, rue Faidherbe, were magical. This time I found them pretty heavy going. In fact the street is supposed to open the way to the festivities. This time around it represented Carnaval from Rio with 12 totems, animals or symbolic creatures. Amazon Indians, dragons with flowers, fruit and even feathers to decorate them. Well here you can have a look and see what you think. I took the photographs on my way back to the Tripostal where there was another contemporary exhibition I would go to before returning to Paris.
Crossing the station there were 5 immense clouds suspended under the glass roof. Two of them had been developed for Saint-Pancras Station London, but I saw no indication of which two and the others specifically for « Renaissance ».
