A SHORT BUT NICE MOMENT

It’s quite a while since I have been along to the Galerie Maeght in Paris.           ( http://www.maeght.com /)  but it is one of the most interesting in my book for modern and contemporary art. Some of my friends have what I define as « Gallery Days » . They wander around the different quarters which have the most interesting exhibitions and just pop in. It’s ridiculous to say but I always feel a little nervous about « just popping in » as if the owner will jump on me a a potential buyer. Silly, isn’t it ! I knew nothing about François Lamore’s work but had come across it in an art magazine. This was enough to entice me over to the Rue de Bac and see the painting for myself.  "Demeure" - 2016 He’s lucky in my book as he was born to a French Mother and an American Father so from the start was imbibed in a double culture.
